Heidi Lobstein performed with the Red Brick Mime Theater while going to nursing school for her bachelor’s in nursing at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana from 1982-1987. She received her master’s degree in nursing education and administration in 2003 from the University of Phoenix. Heidi Lobstein MSN, RN is a registered nurse with over 35 years’ experience, working in the field of psychiatry, geriatrics and hospice. She was a staff nurse at the University of California Los Angeles Neuro Psychiatric Institute (UCLA NPI) and at Los Angeles Twin Towers Correctional Facility, LA County Department of Mental Health. She worked as a staff nurse both inpatient psychiatry and outpatient mental health at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in West Los Angeles, where she developed an orientation class for new employees addressing the needs and care of Iraqi and Afghanistan veterans. As a veteran herself, originally going into the Air Force as a nurse with intent to serve those who serve as a flight nurse. Heidi has worked hard to represent veterans and to be an advocate for them. She has been a clinical instructor in psychiatric nursing for both the undergraduate and the graduate programs in the UCLA School of Nursing. She has been certified at UCLA as a Nurse Educator, and she was a member of SigmaThetaTau, nursing honor society. Heidi worked as a clinical instructor for the traditional undergraduate and accelerated nursing programs at Mount Saint Mary’s University. Heidi assisted Dr. Dennis Lobstein with The Acuwave Health Education Clinic 2009-2018 and continue as The HEALTHWISE Health Education Clinic on Zoom 2019-2025. She has continued to expand her knowledge base in Five Element Asian medicine and energy balancing. Her mission is to incorporate holistic healing practices and natural modalities with traditional practices into the care of the ill and educate future nurses to practice based on evidence and research, centered on the homeostasis and rebalancing the condition of the patient. Heidi Lobstein MSN, RN plans to impact on the future of nursing practice. She has developed a wellness-nursing model in which the body rebalances when provided proper environment. The model addresses hydration at the base of the triangle with nutrition and energetic patterns on the sides. She calls it “NEW Health” (N- Nutrition E- Energetic Patterns W- properly structured Water.) She is now known as the Health Angel and does consultation and coaching to help people heal. She has also written a screen play addressing the culture of rape in the military and hopes to raise consciousness that this is a prevalent issue that needs to be addressed.
